When Should You Send An Email?

I’ve always been asked that. And I must agree with Flint McGlaughlin of MECLABS –

“There is no one-size-fits-all time and frequency when you should send emails.”

For Plastic Surgeon clients, I’ve seen high open rates and CTR during Tuesday morning or later during the week in the afternoons. For golf enthusiasts, it was anytime before 10am CT and never on a Saturday.

The key is to observe and mull over your analytics until you get a “feel” of your audience. Every list behaves differently for the various clients that I had handled.

And when you finally get that marketer’s intuition that he talks about, you must test test and test.
